Elizabeth is the teaching assistant to Valentin Peytchinov and an expert on his bel-canto method, the Peytchinov Approach.
In July 2024 she went abroad to teach a course on vocal technique. Her students have sung in all different styles in international festivals, opera houses and various conservatories.
Her students enjoy rapid improvement and a crystal clear understanding of the human body as it pertains to our unique vocal instruments.

"There seems to be somewhat of a crisis in the world of vocal pedagogy. Accepted theories are wide ranging and confusing and don't seem to work for everyone who learns them. There is a lot of subjective advice out there, and a lack of clear information regarding the actual physical processes through which sound is produced by the human body. We hear from legends of great singers that singing should feel "effortless," "free," and "easy," but actually accomplishing this can feel impossible with all of the vague and contrasting advice that is all too common today.
I do not believe singing is hard. That's not to say that it is easy to become a complete artist and a well-rounded musician, but rather that the actual mechanics of singing and vocal production are easy, and can be taught to anyone.
There are a lot of teachers out there who will disagree with me and say that it is hard to learn to sing. I say that is much more attainable than many are led to believe. If you can learn to tie your shoes, then you are likely smart enough to learn to sing.
If you take lessons from me and you practice consistently, you will improve. If you are doing these things and do not improve, then it is my duty to find a solution. This does not daunt me, because on top of my years of experience teaching students of all ages, I teach a method called the Peytchinov Approach, which was developed by my mentor Valentin Peytchinov, and which effectively heals vocal injuries, opens the voice to its full dynamic and musical range, and makes singing a visceral, yet effortless experience.
When you begin taking lessons with me, we will begin by defining all of the different parts of the vocal instrument (i.e. anatomy), reviewing physical principles of acoustics and sound production, and establishing where those concepts intercept. If you are already a singer, we will identify any technical faults and immediately create a plan to address them.
I want to tell any prospective students right off the bat, I believe in you, and I truly want you to succeed. I want you to get to a point of not needing me anymore, a point where you never have to worry whether you will be able to hit the high notes, a point of absolute security in your instrument, so that your only concern is artistry. I will work with you as long as it takes to help you to tune your ear so that you can learn to discern good, healthy singing in other's voices and in your own. I will patiently repeat whatever needs to be repeated until you fully understand. I believe in the efficacy and of what I do, I believe in its purpose, and I will never give up on my students."

what is the Peytchinov Approach?
The Peytchinov Approach, simply put, is a method of singing which was developed by Valentin Peytchinov with the intent of simplifying historic bel canto techniques and making them easily digestible for the average student, regardless of innate "vocal talent". The method works for all genres. It is simple and straightforward and has the following effects:
-
Aids in recovery from vocal injuries such as wobble, or vocal nodules
-
Eliminates vocal pain and fatigue
-
Eliminates the passaggio(s)
-
Eliminates nasal singing
-
Maximizes the volume of the voice
-
Gives the singer easy access to their full range, which is on average about 3 octaves
-
Gives the singer full range of dynamics both loud and soft
-
Facilitates coloratura, riffing, or any other form of quickly changing notes requiring a high level of accuracy

"Elizabeth is the kind of teacher that will change your life. She is so knowledgeable, but most importantly, she knows how to transmit this knowledge. I learned so much from her. My relationship with my voice has grown exponentially. I’ve built so much confidence in my singing thanks to this newfound understanding of my instrument and now feel fully prepared to take on a much more diverse- and what I previously thought of as challenging- repertoire. Elizabeth will be with you all the way! You will see the difference! Recommending 1000%!"
-Jemina Brechoire, composer, pianist, singer
I am not a singer, and I never have been. But I have always loved to sing, and I always wished I could do it well, hit high notes, low notes, and just basically sound good. After about 3 lessons with Ellie I found myself effortlessly singing along to my favorite songs, and a new world opened up to me. I started to sing notes way up in the stratosphere, that I had no idea even existed in my voice. Within such a short amount of time she unlocked my full range- and I'm someone who has never studied voice before. The most shocking thing was how easy it was. If you want to learn to sing, this is the way to do it.
-Saúl Ibarra, pianist
Know that this super talented person is smart, artistic, musical and fast in absorbing the knowledge given to her. She advanced very quickly in her skills and she proves it solidly on stage, time and time again. She is a fantastic performer in various genres, such as classical, jazz, and cabaret.
Ellie is the one I proudly name as my assistant and is a great asset to Valentin Peytchinov Vocal Studio. Do not miss it!
